Artist: Kaylee Walsh — Art by Kaylee W
KAYLEE WALSH (she/her/hers) is a contemporary visual artist, sociologist, and advocate. Her work has been showcased at the Baum Gallery; Stola Contemporary Art Gallery; Mosaic Arts Gallery; The Holy Art Fair Tour; Vortex Magazine; Studio Visit Magazine; Little Rock Art Night; Conway Art Walk. Walsh currently studies fine art and sociology at the University of Central Arkansas. She serves as the Communications Director for Students for the Arts as well as an asset to Sociology Honors Society and Feminist Union. She is well known for using her feminist, mental health, and humorous themes, and is currently working on a project based on the concept of pressuring young women to marry, Getting Ready to Altar My Life. She sees that just as there is more than one way to express something in art, there is more than one perspective to look at in sociology. Walsh connects her ideas to the viewer, as connection is the basis of empathy. A teachable moment or a shared experience, there is a takeaway when viewing her work.
