Arts in Overgrowth
Ryan Payne has matted prints of animated characters and worlds that exist in her imagination. He also create cartoons of wildlife and people and makes live caricatures. Ryan graduated from BHS in 2004 and has done many volunteer projects in Northwest Arkansas. He was part of Art on the Bricks a few years ago at Anime Cafe and also has a maker station with free prints on computer paper available for kids or adults to color on.

James K. Sawyer has a BFA from the University of Nebraska. During his time in school he was given an assignment to build a three dimensional “Pandora’s Box.” That was the beginning of a life long passion for the assemblage art form. His assemblage sculptures are created from any type of objects or materials. Jim says: “The only limits are the ones I put on myself. I lean towards using materials of interesting shape, surface, texture and that appear to have a history or story of their own.
