Creative Colorful Coverings & Creations…

Artist: Rick P.

As an artist, I’ve always drawn faces in pencil, colored pencils, or ink. This particular project initially started from a challenge to myself, when looking at a gallon water jug. “What can I make from this”?
The answer… a plastic mask! The naturally curved or easily curved pieces are connected with staples and duct tape, then painted with acrylic colors.
Beaked bird faces seemed to have endless possibilites. Then another challenge. If this handle was a small insect body, then left & right would be it’s big wings… and if you turned the jug inside out… clearly a butterfly emerges!
Challenge yourself to see things differently… fly!
