NWA Jazz All-Stars Ensemble to Perform

June 10, Art on the Bricks Art Walk: The Art Walk on the 2nd Thursday in June takes place as the fifth season of the NWA Jazz All-Star Youth Ensemble comes to a close. The family friendly event provides an opportunity for four talented young musicians to perform together one more time as two complete their high school studies and two head to college and further pursue their music careers. These talented young musicians are among a total of 14 teens from nine area high schools who auditioned and were chosen for this select group of talented musicians. Once they made the cut, they began rehearsing with jazz professionals from the Fayetteville Jazz Collective. The NWA Jazz Society provides an education experience that offers high school students a unique opportunity to join a musical community of passionate young musicians at a pivotal point in their personal development.

The Northwest Arkansas Jazz Society Jazz All-Stars Youth Ensemble and D.J. Raquel were added to the art walk offerings thanks to a sponsorship by Pel-Freez Biologicals and JKJ Architects.
