    High Fashion Meets Fine Art

    Art is always in fashion. As a fashion artist, I sketch from photos as well as the live model. In my fine art watercolor and mixed water media paintings, I use strong value contrasts to create drama. My work explores and celebrates the creativity, individuality, and strength of women.

    The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly – Triptych

    May 5, 2021 /

    This triptych work commemorates the work of western movie films. It uses a new figurative approach to drawing where the image is distorted by the artist imagination rather than computer programs. The style is modern post-impressionism and the artist used Acrylic graffiti markers. The final product is then fixed and varnished for conservation. Sizes unframed are 9X12 inches (framed 15×18 inches).

    I am a professional photographer with many years of experience in portraiture, editorial and commercial photography. I enjoy working with clients & creative entrepreneurs from all walks of life. My projects extend from corporate campaigns, to collaborations with advertising agencies, to small businesses and individuals. As an artist at heart, I take great pride in my lighting to tell compelling stories and maybe reveal something about my subjects that has not been seen so far. Growing up in Germany, I was deeply influenced by paintings of Albrecht Durer, Rembrandt and Caravaggio.     My art is cheerful and playful. I enjoy bright colors, lines, and cuteness. I have been playing with watercolor and acrylic mediums and have been focused on art that is smaller than 11×14. I have played with art my whole life but recently became more interested as my genetic eye disease has rendered me legally blind. Creating art is a fun challenge and art has become my therapy.
