    Spinning the Sky

    April 9, 2025 /

I paint to reconnect—with myself, with the world, with the kind of presence that feels like real freedom. After leaving a chaotic work life, I’m learning to build something slower, where painting isn’t just a reward after the grind, but the reason for it. Watercolors remind me to live fully in the present—to embrace rest, joy, and stillness as essential parts of life. Each piece pulses with that same energetic rhythm: a call to feel alive.

    Blue Eyes

    April 7, 2025 /

I was searching for my next display project. This lady’s blue eyes grabbed my attention. The next painting is of my granddaughter. She was about nine years old. Both paintings are oil medium on canvas and panel.

    The Heart Castle

    April 1, 2025 /

I was physically abused by my father when I went to visit him for the first time when I was 12 years old. This is a representation of locking my heart away. I felt unworthy of being loved after he tried to kill me several times over the course of 6 months. I chose Gelatissmo because they help children who have experienced the same trauma. I have a story that I wrote that goes along with the art piece written in fairytale form. There is healing through love.

    Birds of a Feather

    March 24, 2025 /

I’m Jamie Shipcoff Brown, a watercolor and multi-media artist with a passion for capturing the beauty and symbolism of the natural world in my work. Painting has been my creative outlet for as long as I can remember, a space where I find joy and peace. Growing up in Northwest Arkansas, I loved taking art classes as a kid, first in Rogers schools, and later the University of Arkansas. After college I moved to Upstate New York to attend graduate school and later start a family. Though I set art aside during the busy years of raising my family, a profound personal loss in 2017 brought me back to my…

    Permanent jewelry

    March 24, 2025 /

Permanent jewelry is a custom-fit bracelet, necklace, or anklet that is welded together instead of using a traditional clasp. It’s designed to be worn continuously without removal, symbolizing special moments, relationships, or personal style. Made from high-quality materials like 14k gold filled or sterling silver, permanent jewelry is lightweight and durable.
