    Mystic

    October 11, 2021 /

On her quest to understand the deeper meaning of life and her purpose, Yanique Graham was inspired to use art as a means to communicate love and self expression. She is currently exploring portraiture, the complexities of the human experience and spiritual evolution through paper on canvas. Her work may be viewed and purchased at Rogers Experimental House.

    Nothing I Missed

    October 11, 2021 /

I write with emotion. I came back from a 15 day coma just 2 years ago but still spent another 3 months in intensive care. When I was released covid hit and I became isolated. Then came Soldiers Songs and Voices Northwest Arkansas and Zoom. I have played music but not written. I am still growing in my songwriting. I have recently performed on the national online show Open Mic America and will appear again in November.. Thank You

    Pottery

    October 8, 2021 /

Adrian Leffingwell specializes in atmospheric functional pottery and teaches ceramics at Arkansas Arts Academy. Potters have been firing with wood for thousands of years. And contributing salt to their kilns for hundreds of years. The atmospheric kilns Leffingwell works with directly influence the surfaces created. These processes produce completely unique works that he hopes you will enjoy for years to come. His work may be viewed and purchased at Rogers Experimental House.

    Downtown Rogers, Arkansas

    October 6, 2021 /

In creating the Rogers, Arkansas map, I took the city’s complex maze of streets and bike trails, snapped their names to a grid, filled the negative spaces with colorful geometric shapes and highlighted community amenities with buttons. The result is a vibrant, simplified flow of the streets and trails connecting the downtown to Lake Atalanta. The purpose of this and all of my stylized maps is to orient those new to the city, encourage the use of cycling and pedestrian paths, and to further a sense of community identity among residents.
