    Blue Ballerina

    September 18, 2021 /

I painted this portrait of a young girl who has a look of distant thought. I’m not sure that it was concerning her performance before, or after. Still wondering every time I look at it. Art by this artist may be viewed and purchased at Envision Nutrition.

    Abstraction

    September 7, 2021 /

Blessed are the weird people: poets, misfits, writers, mystics, painters, troubadours for they teach us to see the world through different eyes. -Jacob Nordby I am a photographer. I wasn’t an abstract artist. My journey discovering abstract art begins with curiosity in phone apps. I have turned applications into art, fine-tuning and layering. My instinct for what I call ordered chaos—arranging a variety of different objects together for an artistic whole—drives my work. As I delve ever deeper into abstracts, I ground all of them in photography. My abstractions are not bound by but they pay homage to a life long journey in photography while I evolve in exploration of…

Collection of Greeting Cards, Prints, and Original Drawings

    September 5, 2021 /

My recent works are small, colorful, emotive drawings. They arise through a process of intuitively shuffling through the pages, putting one away and pulling out another, allowing them gradually to come to fruition. Scissors flood in front of a blue shadow face; the left arm floats away from a body. A fork comes out of a phone; eyes watch what I eat. I often work without a plan, allowing meaning to arise from layers of material, images, text, pattern, and color. I see drawing as a way of aesthetically organizing my consciousness. When disparate elements become integrated on the page through layers of pattern and color, the symbolic meaning of…

    Repurposed materials become incredible Art

    September 4, 2021 /

Janie Baber of Fayetteville, AR is a self-taught acrylic artist whose art, highly textured, colorful and often including mixed media, is usually created on repurposed surfaces. Florals are a favorite subject but she also enjoys painting whimsical animals and abstracts but will try any subject.  Her affordable price point gives the average person an opportunity to enjoy original art in their home or office.

    Reverie No. 326

    September 4, 2021 /

Ruth Lawlor is an abstract painter from Northwest Arkansas “I find inspiration every time I step outdoors and feel fortunate to live where I am surrounded by nature. My fascination with non representational art stems from an interest in design and the challenge of communicating an idea or mood with simplicity. I view non representational art as a means to convey ideas about the intangible and ethereal.”
