New to this field of Art work. As a life long musician, visual arts was only a distant longing until about 15 years ago! Now my passion for artist expression is beyond words. This is an oil painting I made as part of my artistic exploration into the confusion and exhaustion of consciousness. The lines are intentionally blurry and proportions were tossed aside, in favor of a more abstract, muddy appearance. My titles for this sort of piece are taken from writing I’ve done in my journals or sketchbooks; this one was taken from a messy rant about gender. betrayal – Acrylic painting of my fridge at night, depicting the way my body betrays me and my fear of the dark with its constant need for hydration. just turn on the fan already – Acrylic painting of a door that doesn’t exist.
