Human Condition
As a photographer I strive to explore what is significant to me in a portrait session. I’m not looking at portraiture as a way of discovering the soul of my sitter. I reckon that both the sitter and the photographer bring a lot of baggage to the set. And that’s what makes it exciting. The collision of two individuals with different backgrounds always results in a mutual exchange between the two individuals. Big part of what I do is trying to reveal the human condition through my lighting. I like to explore what’s interesting rather than just rendering a likeness.
