My name is Adriana Pineda, the artist behind Art by AMP. I am a young Latina mom of Venezuelan and Nicaraguan, born and raised in Miami, Florida- but after graduating high school in 2016 I found myself a little pocket of sunshine hidden away in Northwest Arkansas, and I’ve been here ever since. I have been creating for over 15 years- officially starting my own independent artist venture, Art by AMP, in 2020. Working in art has not only gifted me the opportunity to escape, but to create countless visual stories and worlds for people to explore. I have had the opportunity to display my work at venues like: The Medium, Arkansas Public Theater, and Aloft Hotels and perform along side musicians at the Railyard Live and Gulley Park Summer Concerts- leading to the sale of a piece to the City of Fayetteville. Being an artist has painted the path to connect with my community and to foster creativity in those around me. Because for me, it is rarely what I am creating – but more how I create. It’s about flowing through the process of making – choreographing a dance between the mind and the canvas, allowing viewers to experience the process, the movement, the brush strokes and handfuls of paint. By allowing my brush and hands to move freely across my canvas I tell a story of emotion and memory, feelings and energies. All of these strokes layered to create an abstraction, an artifact of the living moment. Each new piece is not only a snapshot of that moment, but an experience in which the art shares a story unique to each individual.
