“Dog-Inspired ART for Your Home” is an exhibit of my pet portraits that resemble fine art paintings. My art is fueled by nostalgia, memories of childhood, and goofiness. I strive to bring these feelings into everything I create. Whether the goal is to playfully poke fun, tell a silly story, or criticize social norms, I aim to put a humorous spin on all of the seriousness around me. Sometimes this means injecting humor into a cheerless topic, or bringing childlike innocence to an otherwise dismal idea. Visually, my style reflects my deep love for retro cartoon characters, scenes from the funny papers, and children’s books.
