Claire Pongonis, is an artist who works primarily in cotton fiber and oil pastels. Her current work focuses on landscape-inspired embroidery paintings stitched on translucent fabrics that feature the directional movement of the embroidery floss, blocks of rich color, and the stitched foreground that contrast against the negative space created by the transparency of the fabric. Liz Cox is an artist working in acrylic, mixed media, collage, and hand-made paper.
