    Repurposed

    March 23, 2023 /

Liz Cox works in acrylic, mixed media, collage, and hand-made paper. Her work ranges from semi-abstract landscapes to more textural intuitive paintings, which invite the viewer to interpret the work. Many of her paintings are layer upon layer of color, texture, markings, glazes or paper that create depth and a sense of history…that something else came before the layer seen on the surface. Liz lives and works in Rogers where she enjoys the colors, patterns, and textures of the world around her and is inspired by the beauty of the “extraordinary ordinary” of God’s creation. She studied graphic design at the University of Arkansas and earned her Bachelor of Arts…

    Secrets with Selfish Intentions

    March 9, 2023 /

Watch for Faith in a future art walk as she shares a series of works described as abstract or “trippy” that accumulated over two years of constantly creating everyday. Journalistic in nature, starting at the beginning of my therapy and mental health journey and continues as I walk the path of better living and healthier headspace.

    Yellow Hat

    March 9, 2023 /

I’m always looking for the unusual image or subject. I was shopping in Walmart and walked by a mother pushing her daughter in a baskcart. The hat caught my attention immediately. Then I saw the toddler who was wearing the hat. I couldn’t pass up this opportunity to photograph her. With her mother’s permission. Here is the result in an 20×16 oil portrait five months later.
