    “Sideways Glances”

    July 6, 2022 /

My work is a direct reflection of my experiences, both positive and negative, and a desire to create a shared emotional experience with my audience. The esthetic – flashy, florescent, over the top— is meant to incite a false sense of joy that is quickly overshadowed by a subtle melancholia. The viewer is lured by the glitzy esthetic, but left with an unsettling feeling. Whether it’s working with society gendered, feminine materials or the fact that I primarily make portraits of the women in my life, being a woman impacts all aspects of my work. It is also extremely important to me to join the current cultural conversation and provide…

    Oh My Heart

    July 4, 2022 /

Angie Gomez has found purpose in creating art. Creating gives a sense of wonder and deep joy that nothing else has. Her journey as an artist began when she was very young, watching her grandmother paint in her tiny kitchen. She gave her a small canvas and showed her how to paint a rabbit, and from that point she pursued art with all her heart. Angie was raised in Arkansas among preachers, farmers, quilters and strong women. She believes, in art, as in life, we make our own way.  Angie is an artist and curator with passion for textiles, painting, watercolor, kinetic art, sculpture. She sells original artwork as well…

    Azaleas

    June 30, 2022 /

We have large azalea shrubs in our yard. I have painted several compositions of the flowers over the last five years. The deep red color values are what attracts me to reproduce their simple beauty.

    Sweet Moon Dreams

    June 23, 2022 /

Looking for some cute are, decorations, jewelry, looking for rainbow things and sweet dreams. Look no further. Hi, I’m Eri, or Pyro. I have been doing art all my life, it’s my special interest, all forms of crafting and art. I believe that art has the power to make a difference in the world and show people the good and positives. Art is an extension of ourselves that we share with the world. No matter who you are, art can be used to express who you are or what you love or even the things you feel. Art allows us to speak volumes even without words. Even though it may…

    Life Balance

    June 23, 2022 /

This 20” x 20” acrylic and collage painting layers hand painted papers on canvas to create a balance between pattern, color, and texture. Liz is an artist working in acrylic, mixed media, ink, and hand-made paper. Her work ranges from semi-abstract natural landscapes to more textural intuitive paintings and collage, which invite the viewer to interpret the work. Her marks and forms create a type of visual language uniquely interpreted by each individual viewer. Many of her paintings are layer upon layer of color, texture, markings, glazes or paper that create depth and a sense of history…that something else came before the layer seen on the surface. Each layer guides…
