Stevie Stevens is a Northwest Arkansas based artist who concentrates in mixed media mosaics. Stevie has been piecing together her mosaic art since 2007. Previously a landscape designer in Dallas, Texas, Stevie has transitioned from her love of creating with plants and hard materials such as flagstone, pavers, concrete, etc. to creating with concrete, glass, minerals, mirror, crystals, and rocks. Stevie loves to educate people about modern mosaics. Adrian Reister is a self-taught digital artist and will be the featured artist for Arkansas Public Theatre at the Victory Theatre for the July Art Walk. Adrian Reister has created digital art for all of this season’s productions at Arkansas Public Theatre, and the Zephyr Blevins Gallery is showcasing his work as its last exhibit before closing for remodeling. My work is all about clear, intense color. I work with Prismacolor Pencils. I receive inspiration from photographs and phrases/words. My pencils are often drawn to the humorous side.

Creating texture with thread never ceases to amaze me. I love turning something mundane into something completely different and beautiful.

In Sweden, the connection to nature is an integral part of daily life and has therefore always been my greatest source of influence. It inspires me in a very peaceful and meditative way, similar to my creative process. I channel these emotions into my work by creating images that illustrate a sense of calm and reflection. By borrowing influences from analog photography and adding similar esthetic qualities and textures, I abstract the motif and blur the line between reality and imagination, the present and the past. I strive to create images with a sense of history, leaving you to create your own narrative.
