Pet portraits
Artist Chuck Stout creates beautiful pet portraits from your photographs. His 8 1/2″ x 1″ pastel paintings are on pastel mat paper. Each custom pet portrait is $75.00, and $ 25.00 goes to the Rogers Human Society for Animals. You will find Chuck’s pop-up exhibit in Railyard Park near the Humane Society for Animals exhibit.

Joel T Martin is a local illustrator, artist, and art teacher. He has worked three years with M. Keaton Presents and five years with Rogers public schools. He is currently exploring the juncture of technology, society, and iconography.

It’s EVERYWHERE!!
It’s EVERYWHERE!!: The Arkansas Arts Academy High School 3D Sculpture class, taught by Carrie Haase, constructed 2D and 3D works of art using cardboard. They were challenged to create a piece with personal significance while exploring techniques that help us see cardboard as a plentiful art medium rather than trash to be recycled. Some students chose to disguise the cardboard with paint while others saw beauty in its natural state.

Angels of Desolation
Castor Choate created two works of art using recycled maps that were donated to his high school. The first is a commonly depicted angel falling to the earth after receiving judgement. The second is what he imagines angels to look like and humanities thirst for the holy and unknown.

Backwoods Assemblages
Aaron Jones’ assemblages are created from found objects consisting of discarded items and pieces of broken machinery as well as natural and organic materials. He enjoys collecting interesting objects to repurpose them to create something completely novel and unusual. Key elements of his work will have strong connections to nature and incorporate aspects of science, history, culture and humor.
