My art is fueled by nostalgia, memories of childhood, and goofiness. I strive to bring these feelings into everything I create. Whether the goal is to playfully poke fun, tell a silly story, or criticize social norms, I aim to put a humorous spin on all of the seriousness around me. Sometimes this means injecting humor into a cheerless topic, or bringing childlike innocence to an otherwise dismal idea. Visually, my style reflects my deep love for retro cartoon characters, scenes from the funny papers, and children’s books. The feelings I get from watching 80’s movies, skateboarding with friends, or listening to the Beach Boys have all found their way…
