Regardless of the subject matter human, animal, still life or abstract, I hope that it will invoke a temporary psychological effect. I prefer oil paint for its consistency, and that it is forgiving. Painting is a combination of technique and creativity, or working out how to get the desired effect on canvas or paper and being sensitive to your subject.

Keeping on Track in Historic Downtown Rogers
Living and working near Downtown Historic Rogers has given artist Elizabeth Pier the unique opportunity to connect with long time residents and newly arrived residents and visitors. Each has the same thing to say as they meet her in the Butterfly Park working in the flower beds or creating a new work of art. Watercolor Expressions
Any artist who appreciates architectural elements would be inspired by the historic buildings and brick streets in Downtown Rogers. Not long after arriving, she began painting Downtown Rogers streetscapes. At first she pursued a more realistic approach, then, inspired by an artist she met in Mobile, Alabama, she began using a softer, more impressionistic style and color pallet. She also enjoys combining her love of animals and her love for art and has added to her subjects, pet portraits as well as an occasional flying pig.
