My work is mostly realism. The first two works were drawn on my ipad and the 2nd two pieces were drawn with a regular mechanical pencil. Each took about 2 1/2 hours to do.

Portraits are not the choice of most artist. It’s a different animal. It demands observation that exceeds that of doing landscapes, and still lifes. There is also the emotional issues that have to be dealt with, whether of the artist, or the client.

I use mixed media in my work. I like to draw with watercolor pencils and colored pencils, then paint with watercolor paint. After that I add acrylic paint and acrylic medium for texture. I usually finish with a high gloss archival varnish. Additionally, I offer 4 X 6 prints in 5 X 7 matted notecards of my paintings. I will be selling, and signing, my book “Minou The Enchanted Bayou Cat” as well.
