The “Dynamics of Dominance and Value” in the abstract art I create are but two of the design elements and principles that have become the central theme in the work I produce, exhibit and teach. Dominance is exhibited in many ways: color, shape, texture, and line are all forms of dominance utilized in my work. Colors can be either warm or cool and are present in all of my work. As a child both my parents inspired in me a deep appreciation for color and composition. My father was an avid black and white photographer and my mother an extremely gifted oil painter. Both my father and husband were career military officers. We moved frequently to locations in the United States and abroad. Travel offered sights I first yearned, then learned, to capture with my camera. I have been a fine art photographer for 35 years.
