My work is an in your face exploration of memory, space, and time via manic color, line, and form. Recently I have been trying to blur the line between painting and drawing using household objects as spray paint stencils (milk crates, laundry baskets, and clothes hangers), along with hand drawn lines of pastel snaked through the space. Through my layered painting process a lexicon of symbols has emerged. The characters in my work are the horse, the house, and the gate. I am all three.

Tiny Tree was created with the vision of the stark whiteness of a bare white birch and the contrast of silver. It’s very minimalist on one level yet the complexity of the limbs reaching out embraces you. I use a wire armature covered in several layers of joint compound on gypsum drywall board to simplify hanging. White and silver acrylic paint are sealed with matte polycrylic. It has a sawtooth hook for hanging. 12″ x 10″ x 4″

Lena Regina has dabbled with art her entire life. She was a professional wedding photographer for 20 years and had to retire 2 years ago as her eye sight is diminishing. Lena likes to work with watercolors or acrylics but is always experimenting with different mediums. Lena’s work is described as whimsical, playful and joyful. Kandra Young is a local artist focusing on digital art with bits of traditional painting thrown in for good measure. She is a self-proclaimed geek that loves puns, fan art and positive quotes. Her goal is to make you smile and bring a bit of joy your way through her artwork. She will have original art, as well as prints, stickers, prints and bags featuring her artwork available for purchase.

Art teacher, Dustin Miller lives in Bentonville, but teaches in Neosho, MO at Neosho High School and online for Crowder College. When he finds time for his own creativity, he does drawings and paintings of animals and landscapes in acrylic, oil, pencil, charcoal and scratchboard. Recently, Miller has taken up the challenge of plein air painting using oil paint.
